Thomas Raymond Miller

Mr. Thomas Raymond Miller of Massena, formerly of Watertown, died peacefully at the age of 77 on June 9, 2015.

Thomas was born on August 21, 1937 in Niagara Falls, son of Thomas and Edna Newman Miller. In 1963 he graduated from Niagara University with a Bachelor's Degree in General Business.

He was predeceased in 1996 by his wife of 37 years, Janet, special friend Alice Barber in 2011, and his brother, David, in 1988. He is survived by his loving children, Patricia Fralick and her husband, Tim, of Watertown, Alex Miller of Massena, Susan Hackett and her husband, Paul, of Batavia, Matthew Miller and his wife, Jennifer, of Liverpool, Marion Grant and her husband, Thomas, of Clark Mills, Theresa Miller of Clinton, and seven beloved grandsons.

Thomas retired from the paper and pulp industry after a long career in purchasing and production. This included many years at Boise Cascade, Brownville and he continued to work part-time until 2012. He will also be remembered for his many years as a baseball umpire and scheduler in Watertown. He was a former communicant of Holy Family Church.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, from 10:30AM - 12:30PM at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., 214 Sterling St., Watertown with a funeral service immediately following at 1PM with Rev. Steven Murray, pastor of Holy Family Church, presiding. Private burial will take place in Brookside Cemetery, Watertown.
