A wonderful life well lived. Joanne and my mother.
Madeline Case Steele, were great friends and members of the same bowling league and bridge
club. She was a member of the great Burtch family of Alexandria Bay (I went to HS with Jack Burtch), Joanne's nephew.

Compliments on a very well written obituary and an excellent picture.

To Brian, Cynthia, Sylvia, Bruce and Audie and all their families,

I want to send my condolences for the passing of your mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. As neighbors for all of our growing up years, we have LOTS of memories.. I know that Joanne is in a better place now but I also know how hard it is, even knowing that. I see your old house daily and so I have constant reminders of our growing up years. Prayers to all of you.

I took my Mom to visit Joan several times when she lived in the Bay and Clayton. It was fun to watch the 2 of them together. Friends since 1st grade. Mom has a photo of Joan on her book case.Looks at it everyday. Was taken @ their 50th high school reunion. Mom has told us stories about she & Joan as long as I can remember. Mom & our family send our condolences.

I can still picture her boucing around singing her marching songs, eating ice cream and Hersey Kisses! Please be aware of the impact she made on my life, and the lessons she taught me about patience, kindne ss and faith.
