Mary Jane was born in Ogdensburg February 19, 1938, daughter of Henry C. and Bernadetta E. (McCarthy) Fadden. The family moved to Watertown and she was a 1956 graduate of Immaculate Heart Academy. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and enjoyed attending mass at Summit.

She is survived by her sister Agnes E. Gwyn, Ottawa and seven nieces and nephews and their families, Jan, Matt, Amey, Joseph, Katie, Libby, and Andrew, and several cousins. Along with her parents, Mary Jane was predeceased by her brother Jerry H. Fadden, November 4, 1995.

A calling hour will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown on Tuesday, December 12, from 9 - 10AM. A prayer service will be at 10:15 AM at the funeral home followed by the funeral mass celebrated at Holy Family Church at 11 AM. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Mary Jane's name may be made to Sisters of the Precious Blood, 400 Pratt St. or Residents Activities Fund, Samaritan Summit Village, 22691 Campus Dr., both in Watertown, NY 13601.

I am sorry for the loss of my friend. I have known Mary Jane since April of 2013. We met at the Summit Village where she was a Resident and I was a CNA. We had a friendship that no one will ever be able to replace for me. You are missed, watch over me, please and your family. RIP Jane,

I am so sorry to hear of Mary Jane’s passing. I enjoyed seeing her at Summit Village during Masses and at sing alongs I lead. Before Covid hit when I would play at the ecumenical services on Sundays we would go to the cafe to eat lunch after with a few others. I will miss her. Such a wonderful lady. RIP, Mary Jane.
