Cecile M. Secor, 89, formerly of Brooks Dr., Clayton, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Highland Hospital, Rochester.
Calling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton on Thursday, June 6, from 5 - 8PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church at 11 AM on Friday, June 7, with Rev. Arthur LaBaff officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Old St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mrs. Secor was born in Montreal, Canada on January 17, 1924, daughter of Antoine and Georgiana Pauze Tetrault. She was educated in Montreal Schools, then the family moved to Clayton. She then graduated from St. Mary's School, Clayton and then from Watertown Beautician School.
On October 7, 1940 she married Charles F. Cerow and he died June 22, 1954. On February 23, 1957 she married John J. Camen and he died November 6, 1980. On June 23, 1982 she married Kenneth L. Rowland and he died May 21, 1987. And on August 6, 1993 she married Raymond E. Secor, Sr. and he died January 3, 2005.
She had been a clerk in the drapery department at Sears for a short time and was a housewife. In the 1960's and 1970's, she was a self-employed beautician. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and its St. Anne's Society. Mrs. Secor was also a member of the American Legion Post 821 Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Peckham, W. Henrietta; her son, Jacques Cerow and wife, Cynthia, Chaumont; four grandchildren, Tracy (Grant) Jardine, Lisa (Joshua) LaGoy, Michelle Hodge, and Jay Cerow, and seven great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Darcy Cerow, Phoenix, AZ; sister, Theresa Burns, Watertown; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Wayne P. Cerow, her six brothers, George, Roland, Rene, Lucien, Maurice, and Adrien Tetrault, and two sisters, Antoinette Piquette and Gabrielle Lacoste.
